A growing arts-based organization contacted a local funder stating their need for grant dollars to produce their first fundraising event. The funder hired CONNECT to complete an organizational assessment to ascertain the grantee's organizational functioning and capacity building needs. Results indicated that although fundraising was a high priority, redevelopment of the Board was more critical at the time. CONNECT continued working with the organization to find a consultant to meet the organization’s needs and culture, and to help design the Board’s re-development plan. Once a selection was made, CONNECT managed the consultant’s work to ensure that set timelines and goals were achieved. Regular reports were made to the funder and within six months, the process was successfully completed.
