Success StoriesAgencies reported that COAT accurately assessed the organization's strengths and areas of challenge and that the process proved to be user friendly, convenient, a good use of time, and valuable. One organization received a COAT report that outlined several specific areas of need related to Board Management. Although a small nonprofit, the Executive Director was concerned with learning how to most effectively manage and train the Board members so that their efforts could benefit the organization. With CONNECT's assistance, the Executive Director learned some new ways to motivate the Board and gain consensus around future fund development plans. She instituted a regular Board review process and made Board education a consistent part of every meeting. To date, this organization's Board has worked very cohesively under the direction of the Executive Director and has raised more than $500,000. |
