    Google Grants, an in-kind donation program, awards free AdWords advertising to select nonprofit organizations. AdWords are sponsored links featured on a Google keyword search results page.
  • Free PDF Publishing
    Issuu is a free online publishing soulution used by more than 6 million visitors. It can host any PDF, PowerPoint, or Word document. It is similar to the look and feel of a printed publication. Free accounts include an ad sidebar and limited customization, but for $19 per month, Issuu Pro offers advertisement-free customizable viewing, where you can control the sidebar to display your archive and back catalogs, as well as other special tools and features.

  • Free Web Hosting
    DreamHost, a local, Brea-based, employee-owned company offers a FREE hosting plan to nonprofit organizations. One free domain registration is included; additional registrations are not eligible for discounts.
  • Free Donor and Events Management Tools
    CiviCRM is a web-based, open source (free!), downloadable “constituent relationship management solution” designed for advocacy, nonprofit, and nongovernmental groups. Their online content management systems give organizations tools to connect with stakeholders. CiviContribute is an optional component that allows organizations to track and manage contributions. Other features include customized web pages to accept online donations, the ability to offer a selection of thank you gifts, a searchable database of donations, and tools to create and update contact and donation records. CiviEvents is a component that provides integrated online registration and management for paid and free events. It creates or updates contact records for all event participants, eliminating data entry time and errors.

    There are many options for “Donate Now” buttons, each with their own fees and requirements. AffinityResources.com has a table that compares the fee structure of many different companies that offer online donation services, which include backend software hidden from the donor that collects and processes credit card information for the donation.
  • Giving Works
    With a free account in the eBay Giving Works program, you can raise money for your organization through MissionFish, the nonprofit administrator chosen by the e-commerce giant to manage nonprofit accounts.
  • TechSoup.org Learning Center
    TechSoup features how-to articles, worksheets, and product comparisons that are written for all levels of technical expertise and all sizes of nonprofit and social benefit organizations, consultants, and nonprofit leaders. TechSoup also offers free webinars and learning events. Topics include Green IT, network security, and technology for beginners.

  • Government Surplus
    USA.gov has items for sale exclusively to nonprofits and other government agencies. Items range from computers for educational nonprofits to light houses and historic properties. The site also includes information on government auctions and state level surplus.
  • Free Seeds and Bulbs
    America-the-Beautiful.org’s Operation Green Plant offers free seeds and bulbs to organizations and communities across the U.S. The seeds are last year’s unused supply but still have a germination rate of 92-95%. Applicants will have to cover shipping and handling at a rate of $14.95 for the first hundred packets and $5 for each additional hundred. The program also supplies discounted gloves and other materials.
  • Free Paint
    The National Council on Paint Disposition, a nonprofit environmental organization, works to connect nonprofit organizations that are interested in receiving free paint with unused or unsold stockpiles at retailers, manufacturers, and various other corporations. There is no charge to participate in this program and no requirement to take quantities greater than your organization can use.
